The arrondissements with the lowest numbers are closer to the center, and the higher numbers are farther from the Seine. Each neighborhood has a unique vibe, making the arrondissement distinctive. The Seine River divides the city into the Right and Left Banks. Parisians and visitors usually have very strong opinions about which bank they prefer. If it is your first time in Paris, form your opinion on which bank you like best. There is no wrong answer.

It is common for Parisians to stay in their neighborhood to meet friends, grocery shop, have coffee, and dine out. I loved that you could book an Eiffel Tower view exclusively with the hotel. There was an upcharge, and I stayed in a Prestige Room, which was worth it. You can have a side view or a head-on view. On my first trip to Paris, I was convinced I would have a view of the Eiffel Tower, but it wasn’t within my budget. Now, I am on the hunt for budget-friendly options for other travelers.

Hotel Grand Powers Paris Luxury Hotel

Hotel Grand Powers is the sister hotel of Grand Hotel du Palais Royal in the 8th arrondissement.
